Another Year, Another Anniversary . . .

It’s hard to believe that it’s been almost twenty-three years now since Mom and Dad passed. Enough time for it not to hurt so much, but never will be enough time passing to forget. Yesterday, the sixth was the official anniversary of their 73rd wedding anniversary. Next weekend will be the official dates of their deaths. I’ll try to get some new memories together for that. Update the news and such. I’m happy with the look of the site, I may never update that. It’s like the living room of your childhood home. Which is how I feel about the place in header image. We only lived there about three years – moving at the end of my first grade school year, but I’ve never forgotten the place. Actually, the only place I haven’t a memory for is the apartment over the Litchfield drugstore. From there, my parents moved to Bantam, and there my memories begin.

And now I’m the age my dad was when he died. A little sobering. You just never know what’s going to happen from day to day, minute to minute ever, never mind year to year. So, I hope to make time to come back here and add every memory I can. Some, I wish I had written down well before now. Some details have faded, but maybe as I write those I can recall, the old grey matter will shove out some of those forgotten or fuzzy.

Yesterday, was also our little Rattie, Kai Cei’s 15th birthday . . . and Sinatra, our yellow tiger cat’s, 13th. Maybe I’ll post a few pics of them at some point . . . and some of our pets through the years. Why not, after all. Our pets make up a lot of our happy memories just as much as anyone!

I just wanted to pop in here to remind family, friends, and relatives of the date. I need to update all my other sites, and maybe I’ll put links here someplace to those. We’re working on projects around the house, plus trying to catch up on the woodworking orders we have both new orders and older ones. It’s possible our little hobby shop will become, this year, an actual business. We’ll see.

Until next time, I hope everyone is getting through these times as best as one can. And prayers go out to those having a harder time of it. It will eventually pass, and we’ll see much better times when Jah steps in to clean up the mess corrupt ones have made of His Earth.

Have a great rest of the weekend!
